Create soft, slightly acidic water safely with Sera pH/KH Minus 250ml — a fast-acting freshwater aquarium conditioner designed to precisely lower carbonate hardness (KH) and regulate elevated pH levels.
Some fish species, including discus and angelfish, naturally live in very soft, mildly acidic water and require these conditions for long-term wellbeing and successful breeding. However, aquarium water may have excessive carbonate hardness or an elevated pH caused by the source water or natural metabolic processes.
Sera pH/KH Minus provides quick and reliable support by immediately lowering and regulating both KH and pH. This helps create species-appropriate soft-water conditions that support fish vitality, comfort, natural behaviour, and reproductive health.
For long-term tropical soft-water conditions, Sera recommends first adjusting the carbonate hardness to approximately 4°dKH with Sera pH/KH Minus and then placing Sera Super Peat in the filter.

Test the aquarium water before treatment and follow the dosage instructions provided on the packaging. Add the product gradually, then recheck the KH and pH values before applying another dose.
For permanently maintaining tropical soft-water conditions:
Adjust the carbonate hardness to approximately 4°dKH using Sera pH/KH Minus.
Place Sera Super Peat in the aquarium filter.
Avoid sudden or excessive changes in water chemistry. Always monitor both KH and pH during treatment, as lowering carbonate hardness also reduces the water’s buffering capacity. Store securely closed and keep out of the reach of children.
