Sera Siporax Mini Professional is a high-performance biological filter medium specially developed for smaller aquariums up to approximately 100 liters. Its compact shape allows it to be used efficiently even in small filter systems while still providing a maximum settlement surface for beneficial purification bacteria.

This ensures stable water conditions and reduces maintenance effort over time.

In natural aquatic environments, biological processes in the substrate play a key role in breaking down organic waste. Microorganisms convert organic matter into nutrients for aquatic plants while removing harmful substances such as ammonium, nitrite, and nitrate. In aquariums, however, the limited space requires an optimized and highly efficient biological filtration system.

Sera addresses this need with Siporax, made from sintered glass featuring a unique three-dimensional pore structure.
